Blind Ultramarathon Runner's Mount Everest Challenge
Victor Asenov, a blind Bulgarian ultramarathon runner, scaled Vitosha mountain near Sofia non-stop for nearly two days, ascending the equivalent height of Mount Everest with his guide dog, Taddy. His goal was to raise awareness and funds for the Eyes on Four Paws Foundation, supporting guide dog training.
Victor Asenov, a trailblazing blind ultramarathon runner from Bulgaria, conquered a grueling feat by continuously scaling Vitosha mountain for nearly two days without sleep.
Accompanied by his guide dog, Taddy, Asenov aimed to raise awareness and funds for a guide dog school in Sofia, operated by the Eyes on Four Paws Foundation.
The rigorous challenge involved ascending a total of 8,848 meters, the height of Mount Everest, which he achieved by climbing to the peak 19 times, battling physical and mental fatigue throughout the endeavor.
