SAKSHAM 2026: Driving Public Awareness on Fuel Conservation

In an effort to enhance awareness about conserving national resources, the campaign SAKSHAM 2026 has been inaugurated by the oil industry. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria conveyed the importance of conserving petroleum and natural gas at the event, which commenced on February 1st in Chandigarh.
The campaign aims to educate the masses on the necessity of conserving petroleum products, reducing import reliance, and securing the country's long-term energy needs. Finance Secretary Diprava Lakra highlighted the role of individuals and industries in adopting fuel-saving practices.
State-level coordinators from major oil companies shared plans for activities spanning sectors like transport and agriculture. The campaign features street plays, pledges, and mobile vans spreading awareness messages, reaching communities across Punjab and Chandigarh.
