Punjab Police revealed on Monday that nearly 800 detained farmers have been released, with an additional 450 slated for freedom, following directions from the state government.

Since March 19, numerous farmers were detained as the AAP government dismantled protest sites, citing disruptions to businesses and the general public.

Samyukt Kisan Morcha plans nationwide protests on March 28 to address farmers’ unresolved issues, including demands for a law for Minimum Support Price for crops.
