The Delhi High Court has taken significant legal action by issuing a notice to Atishi, a prominent AAP leader and former chief minister. This comes in response to a petition that questions the legality of her recent election win, accusing her of corrupt practices during the assembly polls.

In addition to Atishi, the court has also issued notices to the Election Commission of India, the Delhi Police, and the Kalkaji assembly constituency's returning officer. The focus is to examine the alleged electoral misconduct during the election process, in which Atishi secured victory over BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri by 3,521 votes.

The petition, filed by Kamaljit Singh Duggal and Ayush Rana through advocate T Singhdev, calls for the election to be declared null and void. As the case progresses, further hearings have been scheduled for July 30, drawing attention to the integrity of the electoral process.
