A tragic bombing attack in Quetta, capital of Pakistan's restive Balochistan province, claimed at least three lives and left 21 others injured. The explosion targeted a police vehicle patrolling the Barech Market, adding to the ongoing instability in the region.
Police officials indicated that among the injured were four policemen, with some in critical condition. The attack employed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) concealed in a motorcycle near the parked police vehicle. The true nature of the blast continues to be under investigation, while video footage depicts a scene of chaos and destruction with a flaming motorcycle and charred police vehicle.
No group has yet claimed responsibility, but the Balochistan Liberation Army is often linked to similar attacks. This incident follows recent violence including the hijacking of the Jaffar Express and heightened tensions in the province. The Interior Minister condemned the attack, pledging to counteract these efforts to destabilize Balochistan.
