The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer, prohibits the use of power backups for outdoor lighting, including inverters, generators, and billboards from 8 pm to 6 am.
This measure follows thwarted attempts by Pakistan to strike Indian military sites, emphasizing the urgency for enhanced security protocols. Non-compliance with the blackout order will result in legal action under Section 223 of the BNSS.
