In a decisive response to rising military tensions, Ambala's district administration has mandated a nighttime blackout to safeguard public safety and strategic interests.

The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer, prohibits the use of power backups for outdoor lighting, including inverters, generators, and billboards from 8 pm to 6 am.

This measure follows thwarted attempts by Pakistan to strike Indian military sites, emphasizing the urgency for enhanced security protocols. Non-compliance with the blackout order will result in legal action under Section 223 of the BNSS.
