PFI’s Secret Hit List Uncovered by NIA

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) maintained a hit list of nearly 972 individuals, including a former District Judge from Kerala, through their covert 'Reporters Wing'. The information forms part of a court case involving the 2022 murder of RSS leader S K Sreenivasan.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recently disclosed the existence of a hit list compiled by the banned Popular Front of India (PFI). The list reportedly includes around 972 individuals, among them a former District Judge from Kerala, according to documents submitted in court.

Documents from the NIA reveal that PFI amassed personal data through its 'Reporters Wing', a quasi-intelligence division, aimed at collecting detailed profiles of people from other communities. This operation was part of PFI's broader structure consisting of three wings: 'Reporters Wing', 'Physical and Arms Training Wing/PE', and 'Service Wing/Hit teams'.

The revelations came to light as the Special NIA Court dismissed bail pleas from accused parties in the 2022 murder case of RSS leader S K Sreenivasan, who was killed allegedly by PFI members. The central government had banned PFI and its affiliates in September 2022, citing links with global terrorist organizations like ISIS.
