Israel has rejected a joint statement issued by more than 20 countries, which urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The Israeli foreign ministry described the statement as being out of touch with the situation and accused it of sending an inappropriate message to Hamas.
On Monday, Britain and several other nations called for an end to hostilities in Gaza, criticizing the Israeli government's approach to aid distribution. This plea came in the wake of tragic events where hundreds of Palestinians were killed near food distribution locations.
The international appeal has further highlighted the divide between Israel and other nations on how to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
