Marines Withdrawn from LA: Pentagon's Latest Move

The Pentagon has ordered the withdrawal of US Marines from Los Angeles following President Trump's decision to deploy them amidst immigration protests. In a significant development, the Pentagon has directed the withdrawal of US Marines from Los Angeles as of Monday, following their deployment last month by President Donald Trump. The decision came after local leaders expressed their objections against the military presence.

The deployment, which began on June 9, was in response to increased protests regarding the administration’s immigration policy. Initially involving 700 Marines, the move also saw the deployment of 4,000 National Guard soldiers.

Marines were stationed at two federal sites in the city, including the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell remarked the military presence underscored a stern stance against lawlessness.
