In a significant breakthrough, police have dismantled an international human trafficking racket in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, reportedly luring individuals with false promises of emigrating to the USA, authorities revealed on Saturday.
The crackdown came after Sonu Kumar, a resident of Bharjo village, lodged a complaint accusing Udai Kumar Kushwaha, allegedly operating from America, of deceitfully sending him via Brazil in 2024 under false pretexts, police stated.
The accused also promised jobs in the USA to others, sending them through a perilous route across multiple countries. Police have already arrested five culprits, seizing crucial evidence as further raids continue to nab more involved.
