Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat unveiled an ambitious plan to construct 120 hostels throughout the state. This initiative is backed by a substantial allocation of Rs 1200 crore, highlighting the government's dedication to supporting students' needs.
During the inauguration of the Babasaheb Ambedkar Samajik Nyaya Bhavan, Shirsat outlined additional projects, including the development of the 'Vijay Stambh' in Pune's Bhima Koregaon, a site of historical importance commemorating a battle between the East India Company and the Peshwas. There's also a focus on enhancing the Chavdar Lake area in Mahad.
Shirsat assured that the social justice department is committed to consistently providing financial resources for student hostels, reinforcing the state's commitment to social well-being and educational support.
