In a shocking turn of events in Delhi's Vasant Vihar, a woman who reported a rape case was shot at, allegedly by the accused, who was granted interim bail. The shooting took place on Wednesday, leading to the arrest of two men, Abuzair Safi and Aman Sukhla, on subsequent days.
The woman, who holds the position of head manager at a salon, sustained a gunshot wound to her chest but is now in stable condition following medical attention at AIIMS Trauma Centre. Police reported that the incident escalated from Safi's anger after the victim refused any communication with him.
Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation, utilizing CCTV footage and technical surveillance to capture the suspects. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further inquiries aim to determine additional involvement, with Safi's firearm already seized.
