In a move set to redefine public service, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu launched Mission Karmayogi on Monday, highlighting its role as a transformative movement. According to Khandu, this initiative is a call for government employees to exceed routine expectations, acting with empathy and a solution-driven approach.
During the inauguration of a five-day capacity-building program, Khandu urged officials to foster a genuine spirit of public service. He emphasized that real change in governance begins with individual mindset shifts rather than policy amendments, creating a culture rooted in responsive and citizen-oriented service.
Mission Karmayogi, part of the state's broader administrative reforms, offers a structured framework for behavioral training and ethical engagement. Chief Secretary Manish Kumar and department officers showed strong commitment, with over 10,000 officials expected to participate. The program intends to equip all levels of government employees with skills tailored to current and future roles.
