In a significant legal development, the Kerala High Court has provided temporary relief to Hirandas Murali, known in the music world as Vedan. On Tuesday, the court instructed the prosecution not to arrest the rapper until his anticipatory bail petition is thoroughly reconsidered.

Justice Bechu Thomas presided over the hearing and directed the Director General of Prosecution to refrain from proceeding with Vedan's arrest until the case undergoes further deliberation. This move comes in light of new complaints from two additional women, presented to the Kerala Chief Minister, suggesting Vedan's potential repeat offenses.

As allegations mount, the court inquired into the substantiation behind claims of Vedan's repeated wrongdoing. Despite these disputes, Vedan's counsel has argued the consensual nature of his relationship with the primary complainant. With a previously registered rape case and Vedan evading capture, authorities have issued a lookout notice while the court continues its proceedings.
