The Congress unit in Gurugram staged a dramatic protest against the city's continuing cleanliness issues by overturning garbage at the municipal corporation office. This act of defiance highlighted their frustration with what they termed as the "failure" of the BJP state government in maintaining basic civic amenities.

Top Congress figures, including district presidents Pankaj Dawar and Vardhan Yadav, criticized the "triple-engine" BJP government, pointing out that residents of high-value apartments are forced to endure such deplorable conditions. They issued a stern ultimatum, promising a larger protest if the situation remains unchanged in 15 days.

The protest also caught the attention of foreigners, with some derogatorily labeling the city as a 'city of pigs,' causing embarrassment to the municipal authorities. Senior Congress leader Raj Babbar lent weight to the protest by joining the march, underscoring the urgency of the issue.
