A head constable, serving as a clerk in the Gurugram traffic police office, has been suspended amidst accusations of taking bribes from colleagues for advantageous transfers, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
A departmental probe has been initiated against the suspended officer, identified as Ran Singh, escalating the actions taken against him.
According to the suspension order, head constable Ran Singh is suspended with immediate effect, and an inquiry will be executed by ACP Sohna. The report on the inquiry is expected in under 40 days, during which Singh will report to the police lines in Gurugram.
