In a recent development, the blood test of Gaganpreet, the main suspect in the fatal BMW accident, returned negative for alcohol, a spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday. The collision led to the death of Navjot Singh, a Finance Ministry official, and serious injuries to his wife in southwest Delhi.
The tragic incident, which occurred near Dhaula Kuan area, unfolded as Navjot Singh and his wife were on their way home from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. Gaganpreet was reportedly driving the car with her family, including her husband, two children, and a maid.
Law enforcement registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Gaganpreet was arrested following her discharge from the hospital and has been placed in a two-day judicial custody.
