Ukraine Celebrates Return of Captives in Latest Swap with Russia

Ukraine has achieved another significant milestone in its ongoing conflict with Russia by securing the release of 185 service personnel and 20 civilians in a recent prisoner exchange. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy broke the news on Thursday, underscoring the importance of this operation.
'Most have been in captivity since 2022, and now they are finally home,' Zelenskiy shared in his message on the Telegram app, accompanied by images of the returnees draped in the national blue and yellow flags of Ukraine. This moment marks a poignant reminder of the human cost of the ongoing conflict.
Since the beginning of Russia's invasion, Ukraine has successfully repatriated more than 7,000 individuals, as confirmed by President Zelenskiy. This latest swap highlights the ongoing efforts to bring Ukrainian citizens back to their homeland.
