On Monday, Germany's foreign minister revealed that nations such as Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, along with other Arab states, are urging Hamas in Gaza to disarm. Their goal is to support further peace negotiations with Israel.
Minister Johann Wadephul shared on Deutschlandfunk radio that these states do not want Hamas to remain active. They are advocating for disarmament to enhance peace efforts.
Wadephul emphasized that pressure is crucial, asserting that without it, progress towards disarmament is unlikely.
