A Delhi court has dismissed the plea of BJP MP Yogender Chandolia, who sought to overturn charges against him in a case involving the assault of a public servant. The charges stem from an incident in October 2020, where Chandolia allegedly assaulted a traffic constable on duty.

The sessions court validated the framed charges, citing consistent statements from the complainant and other witnesses, including police officials and nearby laborers, supported by a video recorded on the complainant's phone. The court ruled out any legal or factual discrepancies in the original verdict.

While Chandolia argued that the charges lack evidence from independent witnesses and CCTV footage, the court emphasized that such arguments could be addressed during the trial. Upholding the charges, the court labeled the revision plea as lacking merit and dismissed it in its entirety.
