The assault occurred in Khandee Majra on Wednesday night when locals, suspicious of the young man's actions, pursued him and administered a brutal beating near the railway station. Tied to an electric pole, the victim suffered at the hands of the irate villagers.

Authorities have registered a case of unlawful assault and wrongful confinement against the accused, now in custody. Talbehat SHO Manoj Mishra confirmed the arrests and emphasized that a thorough investigation is currently in progress.
