In a significant development, China announced its readiness to restore direct flights with India, emphasizing a strategic and long-term vision for their bilateral relationship. This move is expected to encourage friendly exchanges among the combined population of over 2.8 billion people.
The Indian government had previously declared plans to resume flights to China beginning October 26. Subsequently, aviation companies like IndiGo and China Eastern have scheduled the restarting of their respective flight services, aiming to re-establish travel and connectivity between the two nations.
The restoration of flights comes after the easing of tensions following the border dispute in eastern Ladakh and pandemic-related suspensions. Leaders from both countries have actively engaged in dialogue to normalize relations, underscoring the importance of peace and stability in the region.
