A special fast-track court in Nuh has sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for the sexual assault of an 11-year-old boy in February 2023.
According to a Nuh police spokesperson, the verdict was based on strong evidence, eyewitness testimonies, and a thorough police investigation. The court also imposed a Rs 53,000 fine on the convict, with a provision of an additional six months of simple imprisonment in case of non-payment.
The victim's father filed a complaint on February 13 that led to the swift arrest and judicial custody of the accused. The court's decision underscores the speed and efficacy of justice in handling serious offenses under the POCSO Act.
