The European Union is expected to impose sanctions on Abdelrahim Dagalo, the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in Sudan, which has been accused of human rights abuses, three European diplomats said on Wednesday.
EU foreign ministers are expected to approve the sanctions at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday, the diplomats said. EU sanctions consist of a ban on travel to the bloc and the seizure of any assets held there.
