Cattle Smugglers Nabbed in Shahjahanpur Police Encounter
Three alleged cattle smugglers were arrested in Shahjahanpur after an encounter with police. Two suspects sustained injuries during the incident, while a third tried to escape but was captured. Authorities recovered animal-slaughtering tools, and all suspects have numerous criminal charges against them.

Three suspected cattle smugglers were apprehended following a shootout with police in Shahjahanpur district, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, the suspects were en route to Barkliganj to slaughter animals when law enforcement was tipped off.
During the encounter, the smugglers allegedly fired at the police, prompting officers to respond in kind. Two suspects, Bhare Khan and Jafar, suffered gunshot injuries and are currently receiving medical care. The third, Javed alias Kariya, attempted to flee but was arrested. Police recovered tools used for animal slaughter and found the cattle in nearby fields. All three men have extensive criminal records.
