The Delhi Police have successfully apprehended a notorious 24-year-old criminal, Tarun alias Gadam Wala, following a series of previous criminal involvements, including a high-profile chain-snatching incident.

Tarun, a known habitual offender with a staggering 68 criminal cases against him, had been evading capture for over seven months after a daring theft from a visiting NRI woman in Karol Bagh. The arrest comes after an intensive investigation that followed the snatching incident reported on April 13.

Police revealed that Tarun, along with an accomplice, executed the daylight robbery, fleeing the scene on a stolen scooter. Despite initial setbacks, investigators successfully tracked Tarun to Aman Vihar, leading to his arrest. During questioning, Tarun admitted to his role in the crime, motivated by a need for quick cash to fuel his drug addiction. Authorities continue to probe deeper into Tarun's extensive criminal history.
