According to the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats, and Industrial Townships Act 1965, public campaigning must cease by 10 pm a day before polling. This includes stopping campaigning meetings, marches, and the use of loudspeakers for canvassing, as well as prohibiting election-related advertisements.

The local body elections will adhere to strict statutory regulations overseeing the operations of municipal councils and nagar panchayats, as stated by the SEC.
