Security forces in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have successfully eliminated nine terrorists linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), as confirmed by the military's media wing.
The operations, executed on Friday in Khyber, Tank, and Lakki Marwat districts, were intelligence-based and resulted in intense clashes, with seven terrorists killed in Tank and two in Lakki Marwat, according to the ISPR statement.
Recovered weapons and ammunition underline the threats these terrorists posed, having been involved in numerous attacks against security forces and civilians. This operation follows a trend of increased terror activity in Pakistan since the TTP's ceasefire lapse in November 2022.
