In a significant breakthrough, four teenage girls from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, who disappeared earlier this month, have been successfully located in Bhubaneswar, according to local police reports.
The girls, all ninth-grade students, vanished from the Thakurnagar area within the Gaighata police station's jurisdiction on December 5. Utilizing mobile tower data, authorities traced their location to Khurda station in Odisha, promptly notifying the Railway Protection Force for their rescue.
Safely returned to Gaighata on Sunday, the teens are set to be formally reunited with their families on Monday following legal proceedings. An investigation is underway to discern the reasons and circumstances behind their unexpected journey to Odisha.
