BJP Leader Calls for Urgent Fire Safety Audit in Thane
BJP leader Narayan Pawar has called for a comprehensive fire safety audit in Thane, Maharashtra, following a fatal nightclub fire in Goa. He urged inspections of various establishments and highlighted infrastructure issues. Pawar demanded strict actions against entities lacking valid fire NOCs.

BJP leader and former corporator Narayan Pawar has advocated for an extensive fire safety audit across major establishments in Thane, Maharashtra. This call comes in light of a tragic nightclub fire in Goa that claimed 25 lives.
In a letter addressed to Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pawar pressed for inspections of schools, colleges, hotels, clubs, malls, hospitals, IT parks, and government offices. He flagged concerns over bars and clubs operating in outdated structures and mentioned the prevalence of unauthorized spaces in crowded malls.
Pawar also highlighted how city encroachments obstruct fire brigade access during emergencies, demanding immediate action against venues lacking a valid fire No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
