In a significant judicial ruling, a Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to ten protesters arrested following a demonstration at Kartavya Path, which raised contentious slogans allegedly supporting the slain Maoist commander Madvi Hidma. The court underscored the availability of digital evidence, including CCTV and video clips, assuring transparency in the investigation.

Judicial Magistrate Aridaman Singh Cheema released Ahan Arun Upadhyay, Sameer Faiyaz, Vishnu Tiwari, Satyam Yadav, Prakash Raj Gupta, Shreshth Mukund, Banka Akash, Aatreya Chaudhary, Tanya Shrivastav, and Abhinash Satyapati on bail under a bond of Rs 15,000 each. Despite seizing all relevant evidence, the court found no definitive links between the accused and any radical organizations linked to Naxalites.

Nevertheless, the court denied bail to K Sri Ilakkiya, citing ongoing investigations into the Radical Students Union's involvement. This group is under scrutiny for allegedly transforming the protest into a campaign supporting Hidma. The bail plea of another accused, Akshay E R, has been postponed, with further arguments set for Wednesday. The case highlights the complex dynamics of protests and judicial proceedings in India's capital.
