Another major development saw the Supreme Court mandate a Special Investigation Team to scrutinize higher compensation payments to farmers due to collusion with NOIDA officials, highlighting issues of governance and accountability. The court emphasized that chief executive officers and other leaders must be investigated.
Furthermore, in Odisha, the court allowed the state to seek high court intervention for efficiently resolving mining dues disputes. Meanwhile, in Haryana, it ordered the restoration of a green area disrupted for road construction, underscoring its commitment to environmental preservation.
