The Supreme Court has denied ex-Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna's plea to relocate his trial from the special MP/MLA court in Bengaluru. Accused of bias, Revanna's appeal was dismissed as the court perceived no evident judicial prejudice and recommended an apology to the high court for the claim.

Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi stressed that court observations are not indicative of bias. The bench highlighted that judicial officers should not be subjected to allegations based on court remarks. Any errors made, they assured, would be rectified appropriately within the judicial process.

Senior advocates argued that unfavorable comments by judges required removal. However, the court maintained that judicial officers should not feel pressured by lawyer criticisms. The case, involving charges against elected officials, remains in the designated, special MP/MLA court, as established by the judicial system.
