In a surprising development, law enforcement authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district have apprehended five individuals, including the father of BJP leader Shyamlal Dhakad, for his murder five months ago.
The dramatic arrests come after investigations revealed that Daulataram Dhakad, the victim's father, allegedly orchestrated the killing over fears that Shyamlal intended to transfer property to a woman, potentially inviting social stigma.
According to Superintendent of Police Vinod Meena, the accused hired assassins who were paid Rs 5 lakh, and they executed the crime by attacking Shyamlal with an axe and knife as he slept.
