British trade minister Chris Bryant has confirmed that the UK government experienced a hacking incident, following a report by the Sun newspaper.
This breach, purportedly carried out by a Chinese group, targeted systems to access Foreign Office data, although Bryant could not definitively attribute the hack to Chinese operatives or the state.
Reassuring the public, Bryant stated that the government remains confident that no individual will be harmed as a result of this security breach.
