Lithuanian authorities have accused Russia's GRU military intelligence of orchestrating a failed arson attack on a Lithuanian plant that supplies critical radio wave scanners to Ukraine's army in 2024.

The incident, which led to charges against six individuals from Spain, Colombia, Cuba, Russia, and Belarus, marks a significant escalation in efforts to target Ukraine's military support networks.

Deputy Chief Saulius Briginas of Lithuania's criminal police revealed that the crimes were carried out under the direction of persons in Russia connected to the GRU. Further attempted attacks in Poland, Romania, and the Czech Republic were also reported.
