Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has accepted an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the newly proposed 'Board of Peace', aimed at tackling global conflicts, starting with Gaza. The Kazakh president's acceptance was confirmed by his spokesperson on Monday.

The initiative, chaired for life by Trump, will require a $1 billion contribution for permanent membership. Tokayev, along with 60 other nations, has been invited to be part of this initiative, seeking to address the Gaza conflict initially.

President Tokayev expressed his gratitude in a letter to President Trump, confirming Kazakhstan's participation. The 'Board of Peace' aims to expand its focus to other global disputes as part of its long-term objectives.
