In an unexpected crackdown on Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Traffic, Rajesh Mohan, suspended three traffic zonal officers for flouting established traffic rules and departmental orders.
The DCP discovered these breaches during an inspection in Daulatabad, Kapriwas, and New Colony, where officers failed to use body cameras while issuing fines.
The officers suspended were ASI Suresh, ASI Ramrichpal, and ASI Satish, each responsible for different zones. A further infraction was noted as a zonal officer displayed a temporary number plate on a privately-owned vehicle, despite a valid registration. Mohan reiterated the importance of rule compliance and warned of continued strict checks.
