A 23-year-old woman, identified as Shraddha Tripathi, was discovered dead in Ramgarh Tal on Wednesday, merely a day after she was reported missing, according to police sources. The young woman was the daughter of a local revenue officer, adding complexity to the unfolding narrative.
Passersby stumbled upon her body floating in the lake around 1:30 pm and promptly informed local authorities. Law enforcement quickly arrived on the scene to retrieve the remains, confirming her identity as that of Shraddha, who hadn't returned home after leaving for an errand on Tuesday. Her family's mounting concern had already led to a police complaint when she stopped responding to calls.
Preliminary evidence suggests suicide, according to Additional SP Abhinav Tyagi, though only an autopsy will provide definitive answers. Family members disclosed that Shraddha had been under considerable mental duress and had limited freedom to venture outside. The police have launched an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
