The attack occurred at Singh's rented residence in Ogal Bhatta when the woman visited to discuss their relationship. A heated argument spiraled into violence, leading to both parties being hospitalized. The victim sustained a severe neck injury and remains in critical condition following surgery.

Law enforcement officials have pressed charges against Singh under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police have seized the weapon used in the crime and insist that an in-depth investigation is ongoing.
