On Monday, a court in Bali sentenced three Australian citizens for their involvement in the fatal shooting of fellow Australian Zivan Radmanovic in June. The men were identified as Mevlut Coskun, Paea I Middlemore Tupou, and Darcy Jenson, who were found guilty of orchestrating the attack.
Radmanovic, a 32-year-old from Melbourne, was killed during a visit to Bali with his wife and her sister. Another Australian, Sanar Ghanim, survived the attack with injuries. The court was told the attack was supposedly executed to scare Ghanim into settling a debt, based on instructions from an unidentified 'Mr X.'
The court handed down 16-year sentences to Coskun and Tupou, and a 12-year sentence to Jenson, acknowledging their cooperation and lack of prior criminal records. The case highlighted the emotional impact on victims' families and underscored the judicial intent to prevent such crimes.
