The legal battle over the shared custody of a pet Rottweiler, named Henry, took a significant turn on Tuesday as the Delhi High Court sought input from Mahua Moitra. The move comes after a plea by lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai, Moitra's former partner, questioning the TMC MP's lawsuit was filed.

Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri issued a notice concerning Dehadrai's petition, which challenges a district court's previous dismissal of his plea. The plea was originally seeking to have Moitra's lawsuit rejected, claiming her case lacked a cognizable cause of action and sought interim relief prematurely.

Both parties are now set to return to court for further proceedings on May 14. Dehadrai alleges the district court's decision failed to recognize the informal nature of the personal agreement between him and Moitra. Meanwhile, Moitra's attempt to appeal this dismissal remains under judicial consideration.
