UAE's Potential Role in Strait of Hormuz Security Efforts

On Tuesday, Anwar Gargash, a diplomatic adviser to the president of the United Arab Emirates, announced the possibility of the UAE joining a U.S.-led international effort focused on ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
Gargash conveyed his remarks during an online event hosted by the American think tank the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), emphasizing that currently, the UAE is not engaged in active negotiations with Iran.
These comments arise amid escalating apprehensions regarding the security of maritime traffic through the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz.
