Crackdown on Fake Permits: Delhi Driver Caught with Forged 'No Entry Permit'

A driver in Delhi, identified as Rohit from Haryana, was apprehended by the police for using a fake 'No Entry Permit' on his vehicle. The permit was revealed to be fraudulent during a routine check. Legal action has been initiated against him for cheating and forgery.

A driver has been booked by the Delhi Traffic Police after being caught with a forged 'No Entry Permit' during a regular check in north Delhi's Timarpur Circle, officials reported on Friday.

The accused, identified as Rohit, 27, a resident of Haryana's Faridabad, is facing charges of cheating and forgery after failing to present legitimate clearance for his vehicle, according to authorities.

The police intercepted Rohit's light goods vehicle on the Burari-ISBT route on Wednesday at approximately 6.20 pm for breaching 'No Entry' regulations. The inspection revealed the permit on the vehicle's windshield was falsified, a fact corroborated by the online challan system that confirmed no valid permit had been granted for the vehicle.
