Delhi Police have successfully dismantled an LPG hoarding and black market operation in the Bawana region, according to officials.

A 50-year-old man named Anil has been taken into custody with authorities seizing a total of 75 cylinders.

The operation came after a tip-off regarding illegal storage and transportation of LPG cylinders in the area. Police intercepted a pickup truck on Thursday evening near District Park in Bawana, recovering 27 cylinders initially. Further investigation led to the discovery of 48 more cylinders stored illegally, threatening public safety. This crackdown occurs amidst an LPG supply crisis in India caused by disruptions in maritime supply routes through the Strait of Hormuz, due to US-Israel and Iran tensions.
