The tragic event marked the region's second school shooting in just two days, creating widespread distress.
Provincial Governor Mukerrem Unluer disclosed that the assailant, who was also killed in the attack, arrived heavily armed with five firearms and seven magazines. The guns are believed to have belonged to his father, a retired police officer. Among the deceased were a teacher and three students, with at least four critically injured.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the attack. In response, police and ambulances were quickly deployed to the scene, while parents anxiously gathered at the school, seeking information on their children. Enhanced security measures were instated as the community grapples with the uncharacteristic surge in violence.
