Addressing the Lok Sabha, he assured no reduction in the state's Lok Sabha seat proportion.

Modi emphasized that women's right to reservation in legislatures is inherent, and any political party opposing this law may face dire consequences. He clarified that the ruling party seeks no political gain from the law's enactment and even offered to credit the opposition if they support it.

During the Lok Sabha session debating three amendment bills related to the women's quota, Modi highlighted the urgency of implementing the reform by 2029. The proposed increase in Lok Sabha to 815 seats, with 272 reserved for women, signals a commitment to bolster women's representation nationwide.
