The incident occurred in public around 9:30 a.m., when witnesses reported multiple shots fired by two individuals on a scooter who quickly fled the scene.

Robic's notoriety emerged in 2011 when he killed Israeli citizen Lee Zeitouni while driving a speeding SUV in Tel Aviv. The subsequent evasion of Israeli law and France's refusal to extradite him strained diplomatic ties between the two nations, culminating in his 2014 conviction in France for aggravated involuntary homicide.
