The Enforcement Directorate (ED) intensified its probe by raiding locations associated with Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) figure, officials reported on Friday. The searches, spanning Ludhiana and other areas, are part of an ongoing investigation.
Arora, previously raided by ED in 2024, is accused of contributing to state losses and generating considerable illicit profits through the alleged repurposing of industrial land for residential projects, as stated by officials.
In a related development, the ED recently executed FEMA searches at properties connected to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Kumar Mittal, targeting his educational institutions across Punjab and Haryana.
