The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has opened an investigation involving Peter Mandelson, a prominent figure with ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Mandelson previously served as Britain's ambassador to the U.S. and held a position within the European Union.
OLAF, in a statement released via email on Friday, confirmed the initiation of the investigation, noting, “As the investigation is ongoing, OLAF cannot issue any further comment.” This motion signifies heightened scrutiny surrounding Mandelson's relationship with Epstein.
Mandelson's legal team has not yet provided a comment regarding the investigation. The probe reflects ongoing efforts to understand the complexities of relationships associated with Epstein.
